change back to previous subscription

I recently switched plan to have data and service available during my holiday in mexico. if the add on option was available i would have used that, but no add on for mexico was available so i changed subscription (there is a plan with data and full service that includes canada us and mexico) it is almost double the price of the subscription i was using before. so..when i got back from my holiday i was hoping i could switch back to my previous plan as that is all i need when in canada. now, when i go to my account page and try to change subscription the only option is an even more expensive one and no other plans option. this seems wrong to me and i would have never switched the plan if i knew i had no option to go back to my initial plan. can someone pls help?

Unfortunately,  Public Mobile is a business and they are here to make money, so advising customers of such could potentially make them lose that "sale"

The website really needs to do a better job at telling people NOT to change plans for a vacation trip, just buy the add on data.  Yes it's a larger up front fee but the headache later is worth it.

Unfortunately, PM offers personalized plan offers for existing customer.  The available plans are usually more expensive than the present plan.  Some customers have been able to slowly lower their plan by regularly checking their plan offers.

If you really want a lower plan, you could port to another mobile company (like Fizz) and then port back as a new customers.  You will lose whatever rewards that you have on your present account.
