Well you are 5 ahead of most of us who ran into a roadblock at 3.  Smiley LOL

@Aya You have to admit, 8 cards, let alone 28 cards seems to be excessive for one person

Oh... maybe, wait a little and see if you can do it then.

@Dunkgirl, it has been a while since there have been a report of credit card failure when used in multiple accounts.  Maybe Public Mobile has fixed the problem.  It is a strange glitch but that how it was back then.  No surprise if the credit card company reacts to the same purchase many times over in short period of time.  Come to think of it, a friend at work tried to activate two Koodo accounts back to back online using the same credit card.  His second attempt was blocked by the credit card company due to anti fraud measures.

Wow, you did good.  In the time that I have been here, I have only ever seen customers talking about failing at the third account similar to my experiences.  This was not enough to trigger fraud alert at the credit card company.  Eight times is probably enough to have the credit card company lock down the card.  That should be an easy one to check on.

Agree, contact you Credit Card provider and ask them if they locked it.

Sorry, we are unable to verify your card at this time. Please ensure your card details are entered correctly and try again. If you continue to experience problems, contact your card provider for more information.

I contacted Visa and they said nothing problem...

Repeated transactions can often throw a flag. If it didn't let you do all of them the account was probably flagged and you would need to contact your credit card company.

This is true too.  The self serve glitches preceed fraud detection at the credit card company.

Edit-  While its true about the card being flagged @will13am brought up a point I didn't know about so if public mobile only lets you use the credit card twice, then it wouldn't be enough for the issuer of credit card to flag you but he has a work around in his post if its only at initial activation

@Aya, there is an unexplainable bug with the self serve system that seems to not allow the same credit card to be used across more than 2 accounts.  I was able to do it for 3 accounts but it took a bit of a workaround to do it.  The problem seems to be isolated to the initial activation.  Once I activated, I was able to switch back to the card which I tried to use for activating a third account.  This sounds rather crazy considering each account is its own entity and not linked to other accounts.  This is the behavior.  One solution could be to work with two or more credit cards.  Another option is to buy vouchers.  recharge.com is a good online resource for getting vouchers.

What does it say when you try?

Is your credit card expired?
