badges disappear

Why do badges disappear once you touch them ?  Whenever I touch one I expect it to show me the badge or info on the badge, instead it disappears.  I know that it comes back but why does it do that ?  Is it just a glitch ?

They need to fix worse bugs first. Payment and service bugs are more important to fix.

Glitch on the website.  Known issue.  It will reappear next time you re-visit the webpage.
