You will need to disable the Subscription button on your account. PM will hold on to your number for 90 days but don’t wait for the last minute to enable Subscription button for 30 days. Disable for the last 30 days and enable when you return.
This way you won’t loss your number or closing your account and just pay for 1 month while you are away for 5 months.
The other option is to switch to a lower plan (if you have a higher plan) while you are away to keep your account and number.

You want to keep the number, right? What you can do is to disable autopay (login My Account, then Payment, then click Manage Subscription and turn of Subscribed there)
then the plan will suspended after this current cycle. Make sure you come back no later than 90 days after the suspension date and make a manual payment to reactivate for one month
then the account will suspend again after that 30 days. Then when you come back after the 5 months, reactivate by making another payment and turn autopay back on

@Like77 , what specifically is your question? Are you trying to pause your account while away? You can do it for up to 89 days without having the account deactivated.
