Used public mobile last year on a different sim card and it worked fine. Now I can't connect to the network. Phone is a Moto E4 and I've tried all the solutions I could find on these forums(network and full factory reset, re-entering simcard number in self-serve, manually adding network settings). My phone is fully functional on rogers and bell networks.
The sim card does work just fine in my ancient Blu smartphone, so it's not a simcard problem. Any suggestions appreciated.

If your Moto E4 is one of the Verizon versions, try relecting the network type. it doesn't matter if you set it to the LTE/3g/gsm or 3g/gsm setting, but just select it again. On the Verizon version of the Moto E4, the 3g network would be disabled randomly after a factory reset. This made it so that you couldn't make or receive phone calls.
Edit: Sratch the above. If it was a matter of the 3g network being turned off in the phone, Bell wouldn't work eitther. I'm now wondering if the phone's IMEI might be blacklisted within Telus as lost or stolen.
Yep, try selecting 3G network manually and then back to LTE, this happened to my friend's Moto E4 from Verizon and couldn't connect to Fido until doing the above.

I had a Moto G5 and it would not connect to network or it would intermittently. I was speaking to some tech people and they say that some of the Motorola phones have had issues in the chips connecting to the SIM card. I had to get a new phone. This was with a different provider. Not sure if the E4 has similar issues. If it is under warranty I would take it and have them check the functionality.

@xixi, is the phone able to read the SIM card and connect to the network. The fact that the SIM works in a different phone means there is nothing wrong with the service. The problem is with the phone.
