this service was good for the first month or 2 and lately its beyond terrible? Why? Is Rogers towers cutting off Public Mobile access? It was a known issue from the posts I saw yet no communication or solution from Public Mobile. The price is cheaper but not worth it if you can’t use your phone. My map disappeared during a detour on my route and the inability to get any new data had me lost in a province I never drove through before. Guess I need paper maps if I use this mobile service. Then I couldn’t get any imessages from my host and I organize how and when to get to my destination yet again. I’m ready to switch. Anyone know why this is happening and when if even it might get back to reliable service??

Iphone 12. It’s not a phone issue as many had the same problem.

Thanks for the idea. Next road trip I’ll try to download the entire map and hope it saves because this service is unreliable. I’d rather have a paper map if my phone data can suddenly drop at any time with zero updates provided by Public Mobile

Those are known to be poor reception here in my city and the entire west coast in general. I can understand that towers go down but its been a week and still terrible reception. It took almost an hour just to ask this question. Can’t even load a weather app. Ill try reseting my network when I’m home. If no improvements in another week I have to change providers.
You can zoom out and download the entire province map whenever you are on WiFi again.
The data issue PM confirmed was out in the East mostly. I am also in the West and had zero issue. Telus and Rogers both are okay where I live, but there is definitely some areas where one or the other carrier signal struggles.

Where do you live? I am in Prince Edward county, Ontario. Experiencing the same thing. No data or text/call service. Relying on home Wi-Fi. No customer support either

@Mikeddy PM uses Telus towers and Telus usually never put out any announcements if any tower is down or have signal issues. They just work in the background and solve issues. It is also hard to predict how the coverage will be when you are out of the city. I suggest you manually download Google Maps so at least it would work offline without traffic data when you don't have service. I always hear people talking about Rogers is better when Telus have issues. Then they say Telus is better when Rogers is having issues. So you just have to decide what is best for you. Ask your friends or family on other carrier and see how their service is to help you decide.
