Why only some countries in Europe?

This may have been asked before, but since Europe has no Roaming any more, what would be the difference between Germany and Austria?

Referrring to the long distance add on.

"Roaming doesn't come in to play"

Roaming comes into it this way.

Now Europe is like one local area. So what difference does it make if I call Burnaby or Richmond (BC) .?! Nothing. If the incoming call comes into Richmond it can freely be transfered to Burnaby.

So if the incoming call lands in Germany it can be freely transfered to Austria.

That is my thinking.

Why even make separate deals with countries? Europe should all be one deal. (those included in the roam free area)

I am only taking about Europe. Since no Roaming, it's like tht same local area.

@Telme2019  Roaming doesn't come in to play since this add-on only applies while you are in Canada. My guess is that it's more of a LD agreement that PM/Telus has do only the countries that have favourable agreements with the mothership are included.

That is a good question. But most companies only offer those slected countries most times. Nobody has ever offered  all the 195 countries, even on those calling cards. I think it could be due to a roaming agreement or a cheaper contract with companies in those countries.

There should be sone kind of agreement. I remember that even not all of the usa is included as some areas are too expensive. I guess they would have to bring the price up if they included more. It also doesn't mean that things won't be renegotiated in the future. I didn't think that they would want to complicate the things with having different price tags. For now they have really 2 different prices, 1 or 4 cents. Also 1 is pretty new too
