@Frank52 no point to debate why Canada is expensive with wireless, nothing you can do to change the landscape
But we don't you join with the cheapest plan first, and you will get some very good deals
if you are on lower price plan as existing subscribers, you will see $27/10GB Canada wide, or $29/20GB Can-US-Mex. That is cheaper than the $30 plan for 20GB you mentioned, and that is also North America wide
Then look a bit pricier, $34/60GB for Canada wide or $35/60GB for Can/US/Mex.
So, the trick is join with the cheapest first, then upgrade using Change on Renewal if you can wait for that extra 30 days

@DennyCrane wrote:@Frank52 that's an outdated narrative. In the context of Public Mobile, that's certainly not true. Cell phone prices in Canada have come down significantly over the years.
Canada ranks as the 10th most expensive country in the world when it comes to cellphone service.

Those who were previously enrolled might find a separate group of CAN-US-MEX offers, my father whom enrolled last year had the option for $29/20GB but not the one I noted earlier, whereas I could not see this offer but could see the $30/30GB

In Canada, the cellphone provider industry does not have enough competition. As such, the few companies that offer cellphone service are all better offer if they keep their prices equally high. They would all be worse off if they undercut each others prices.

As noted, sign up for a $35 or $40 plan for one month. Immediately after activating you can schedule a plan change for the next month. Today for Black Friday existing customers can switch to a $30/30GB Can/US/Mex plan, which is far better than you would have got last year.

After enrolling you can look to swap subscriptions in the app, I recently enrolled at $35/10GBs but I was able to swap it to $30/30GBs in the app, my 3 other family members also experienced the same.

hi @jhonr like anuthings, inflation and price won't really come down. Ar least with mobile, you are generally getting more data with same amount

Prices are set as business decisions. At any given time, the prices offered to new customers can change.
