Why do I keep getting text messages from different numbers addressed to a different person?

I keep getting junk messages addressed to 'Bianca' how do I make this stop?

@Korth    Actually numbers can be changed at no cost upto 4 times each 30 days and it's been like that for a while now.

@fnort28    As already mentioned if you activated with this number recently then it might just be better to login to your account and select Change Number (right side of overview page or Plans Add-ons tab>Change Number).    Otherwise just keep blocking those messages and, hopefully, they'll eventually stop.

I think you recently activated with a new number - actually an old recycled number which recently belonged to Bianca. Apparently she didn't get a new number or tell people what it is, now a bunch of people are trying to contact her again, lol.

If you're not attached to this number then you can login Self-Serve and change it (once per month) at no cost.

Just don't forget to tell your contacts what your new number will be, lol, or the next person who gets assigned your old one will get msgs for Bianca and for Fnord.

Respond to the sender to tell them you are NOT Bianca.

Tell them to stop messaging you.

Block the sender from within your messaging app.   You should be able to do this from the SMS message itself.

bianca must have given the number to so many people who are trying to contact.

Hope the texts are not offending.

There is a provision to change your number cos probably this is a number which was assigned to someone else in the past. 

If it was your number and you want to keep the same number then block every sender and soon you ll start getting less n less texts and hence no 'bianca'.

@fnort28  - your number may have belonged to someone else at one point. OR, someone is just getting the number messed up.

Does sound weird, they are addressed to different people and coming from different numbers....🤔

If you had this number for a while, and this just started, hopefully it will just stop soon. you could block the numbers...but if they are different numbers, it could also be spoofed numbers which are hard to block correct ones.

that is a pain.

HI @fnort28   You meant from different number to the same person "Bianca"?

did you just get this number  not long ago?  Maybe the number belongs to Bianca?

If you just got this number not long ago, you can Change to another number if you want to 

Or of course, you can message them back and tell them "Wrong Person"  🙂
