Hi, it seems that many fellow PM plan holder are offered the $20 3gb data plan except for me. Am I not considered as good and worth while as the rest? This - inequality doesn’t sit right with me - all customers should be treated equally— shouldn’t they?
Well meaning fellow plan holders have even suggested that if we want plans not offered to us to go through the hassle of porting out then in so we may be blessed by allowing us to select plans we like.
I also suspect that the well meaning and I’m sure kind Oracle computer something or other may remove my post because it may be critical of PM.
Im seriously considering to port back to my previous no nonsense and games provider .

@Immune I get it I truly do , it’s game and we have to play the game better with porting and bouncing around to get win back offers or changing when good deals come up like Black Friday x mas / Boxing Day I find sept usually good time from carriers to with back to school . But honestly being loyal to a company is just seen as complacency and for that reason loyalty they think well heck he ain’t going anywheres so no need to offer him anything better . So you just gotta do what’s right for you and not worry about what they offer new customers because all carriers are offering new customers better deals and come next week with Black Friday sakes you might see better deals across the street and then pounce . Then maybe the ones you were loyal to will be like gee I miss that complacent customer . Lets give him a call and offer him sweet heart deal and see he if he has other lines to bring with him and you be surprised how the game changes in your favour . Especially for folks like us where we need to own our on phones as PM don’t have phone contracts being that free agent that like to roam has many benefits in the end . Best of luck 🤞

Yes I do understand —- I’m in the same boat but for the past 3 months I never exceeded 3 gb and that’s sending pictures, googling, shopping and more. And yes if I were to stream movies my extra gb would be nice but I don’t. So I would be happy with the - I understand for some very limited but not for me $20 3 Gb plan or heck even the $23 plan available for new accounts but not for me that gives a very acceptable 6gb data .

@Immune There’s no fine print saying that account holders can’t switch to lower priced plans it’s more an observation by the community that’s it now harder to do so . I have a plan I can switch to for $30 15GB but have $34 60GB plan so the downgrade is price doesn’t seem worth it . So that’s where they get you and I too feel stuck

Thanks for advice- maybe it’s my fault for not carefully reading the fine print that even now can’t find no matter how carefully I try, the part that warns account holders that they are forbidden to switch to plans of lesser value.

hi @Immune unfortunately, all carriers keep the best plans for new activation only
To be best to your wallet, you really have to port around a lot

@Immune I don’t disagree with you but At the end of the day we just have to vote with our wallets to shape our future

That’s what doesn’t sit right with me — we shouldn’t feel that PM or any other company is doing us a favour - honestly they wouldn’t exist with out consumers - proof of this is that many companies do go belly up. However I do understand the theory of creating an image of having control and doing the consumer a favour by selling to them does work with some or maybe even most.

@Immune It’s not uncommon for carriers to offer new activation only plans to attract new customers . Issue then becomes to maintain and keep those customers . But with Black Friday fast approaching my hope is we will see better plans for existing customers like us
