My current subscription is one of those $15/month plans that was never client-changed. So now it’s $18/m (100 CW Talk; 30-day). Autopay gives me 250 mb data per month.
I have the option of upgrading to another $18/m plan that offers:
Unlimited talk & text
1 GB data.
Both plans offer unlimited texts that meet my needs.
Same for talk time. 100 min/m is fine. Buying 500 extra minutes a year is not much of an expense.
The difference is the 250 MB vs 1 GB per month. At $0 increase it would be nice but it’s rare that I run out of data before the end of a month.
I have not switched because I am wondering if the there is something going on behind the scenes at PM and my current subscription is somehow grandfathered/protected from changes that may affect the newer $18 plan. Otherwise, why would PM be offering two similar subscriptions for the same price? Why not just push everyone to the 1 GB plan when they raised the price of the $15/m plan?
Do I need to take off my tinfoil hat or is there a benefit to not upgrading?

@Brian79 "have not switched because I am wondering if the there is something going on behind the scenes at PM and my current subscription is somehow grandfathered/protected from changes that may affect the newer $18 plan"
Well no one here knows. However, given PM's history on it's lowest priced plans you can safely assume it is not protected from cost creep.

hi @Brian79
please update to the $18- 1GB plan using Change on Renewal option
that new plan has the same unlimited text like your old one, and has unlimited calling and with more data. Because unlimited calling and text is the basic now so the description didn't say that sometimes
so, update it while you still have the option, you wont lose anything , but just getting more
