I just joined public mobile on Tuesday and I noticed how the data addons are more expensive than lucky mobile and I don't understand why.

@coolvehiclefan they're not the same product. The cheaper priced product/service expires each month, while the Publilc Mobile version never expires; there is additional value in that feature. Get the plan that suits your needs.

Like @zfx said, Public Mobile Canadian Data Add on is very expensive however with Public Mobile any Canadian Add ins DO NOT expire as long as your Public Mobile line is in Active Status. So yeah you could have those add ons on your account till all used up, even if it take you years to use them

Yes, it is more expensive than Lucky Mobile, but all remaining unused data can be rolled over to the next month and then the following month and so on... till you use them all up. Which is more flexible IMO, especially when you have a cheaper plan and don't use data that much just in case of certain unexpected needs...

I'm on their highest 3G data plan with 8.5gb and I was only curious as to why lucky mobiles prices are cheaper and u get more data for $5 less than public mobile at 2gb.

@coolvehiclefan - The pre-package plans are a much better value if you need data. If your current plan doe not have enough, it might be better to bump up to a plan with more data. If you only need a little more every now and then, the data add-on never expires, so...
