Who has had VoLTE enabled?

It's been a couple months since VoLTE support launched. Who has gotten it enabled for an existing account prior to the VoLTE launch? I just checked mine and noticed my calls stay on LTE now. I didn't get a notification, nor has a VoLTE setting appeared on my phone.

Out of 7 people in my family that are with PM, 5 of us have been switched to VoLTE. My wife and I got switched early, and we didn't get any notification. My dad got upgraded a few weeks ago, and he got a text saying he has been upgraded.

@umnikke8

as far as I can tell...as long as your cellphone stays on LTE when placing a call...then you're good to go. If it drops to 3g then volte hasn't been turned on yet.

Not all volte enabled phones will be turned on. PM and Telus have decided not to enable volte on all phones. I have a iPhone SE (2016) that's volte ready...but they won't turn it on.

One of my Samsung phones got it. No toggle (unlike my Samsung that gets volte from a different provider). For an Android (at least my menu system), the evidence is in settings, about phone, status information, sim card status - look for a line about IMS and that it says registered. Or that when on a call the same screen has mobile voice network type and it stays on LTE rather than the switch down to UMTS.

But it sucks that Public is being entirely selective on which phones they'll enable for volte regardless of the fact that the phone can do volte.
