I am trying to register my cell on Whatsapp and keep being told my number is not regnonized. Are we not able to use this app with a Public Mobile plan? Thanks!

You can also sign up for a free fongo account and use your new fongo number. As far as I know this still works.

Thank you! I have submitted a ticket as my phone # was registered correctly.

@Louiseri

As long as you put in your phone number correctly (for country code, pick 1-Canada and not 1-United states, which is a common oversight), then this is generally not a problem on the PM side but a problem with Whatsapp.  Someone used this number before and Whatsapp has not release the number yet.  PM can't help you with it.  You can try to get a new number from PM as a quick fix, or you have to work with Whatsapp to show them you own the phone number now

another member already said that (and it's actually incorrect advice)

Hello @Louiseri

Whatsapp should work on Public Mobile if you have data. If it's saying the number is not recognized, then please create a ticket.
