Ive helped many others port cells to PM, but never a landline. And coming from a senior, they have no email address, and I doubt there landline can receive SMS.
So what will be needed to port a Rogers landline to PM? Will the Rogers account number be enough, or ??? Im not sure how the landline will confirm the port request.
Thanks.

@thegman , have you ever looked into a wireless home phone solution?

Do agree PM might not be the best (with no support, etc), but it'll be a huge savings.
Was also planned to set them up with an email once they do get PM...
Thanks again..
Be forewarned...in order to successfully start a PM account, customer must have an email address. Best to get that set up first...then get a sim to start their account.
We'll help any way we can. There's lots of us seniors take advantage of PM lower cell costs.

@thegman , as you know this service uses an online system. There's no stores or call center to leverage for help. You need to think about this before moving someone who doesn't have any kind of online savviness to this service. As a minimum, an email address will be needed to set up the online account. The email is pivotal for 2FA in certain circumstances.

@thegman This is typically not a problem and can take up to a week to complete but first check if number can be ported just in case
Check to see if # can be ported

added...I suggest you take a temp number to start with, then initiate a port of old number.
