Due to a tsunami of new activations the response time seems to be taking forever. I sent a query over 96 hours ago and haven’t heard anything back

Sadly nobody really knows. There really isn't any communcation from public mobile in the Announcement section. It's really anyones guess. You could always do a follow up request and advise it's been 2 days now.
EDIT: THIS is at the top of the site frame. Funny thing is, it brings you to a page that has no updates and is just a generic page.
