90 days ago (Oct 28) I deactivated my account and wanted to activate it again. To activate it, it seems that I had to select a plan upon logging in and I did ($40 becoming $20 with the offer), however I selected eSIM thinking it might be useful, but there was an issue as I could not transfer my number & I don’t want to select a new number. But if it’s not possible then that’s okay, I will stick with my physical SIM card. I just want to activate it back. Thank you in advance.

Hello! Thank you for responding to my query. I called Fido and Telus previously, however they said the number was not with them. Life happened and this matter fell on the sidelines... I am now attempting, hoping, to get my number back. I used FreeCarrierLookup and it shows the carrier is with TELUS Mobility. I'm not so sure on what to attempt now, since Telus initially said the number was not with them. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

It sounds like your account was closed due to nonpayment (suspended) over 90 days but you can check by calling 1-855-4PUBLIC and enter your number. If the system can’t locate you number then your account is closed. Your number has been returned to the carrier you got the number from once your account is closed. If you want your old number back, you need to contact the carrier it was returned back to but you need to open a new account with them.
If you reactivated your account on the 88 day…you would keep your old number, don’t need a new SIM/eSIM.
