WIND launching LTE network on Nov 27

WIND ... now known as Freedom Mobile, will be launching LTE on November 27. Nothing to get excited about ... to get it, you need to switch to their LTE plan ($45 for 3GB, 3GB bonus each month up to and including January 2018) and get a phone that supports AWS-3 Band 66. To my knowledge, only the LG V20 supports it.

Please ... do not hurt yourselves running for the door!

Just to point out the obvious since many people have missed it (although you can see the teeth knashing & saber rattling over at Freedom's boards)

In a very surprising move, Wind has DENIED all existing clients access to LTE

The new LTE price plans are awful

More expensive than any other Canadian carriers

Those of you who took a risk and jumped ship to Public congratulations

All competition is good.  Also they are building out another network, so who knows how that might help and/or hinder the market in the future.

I think I'll be happy here for the forseeable future, but I wish them luck. Competition is good for everyone!
