Voicemail indicator Dec. 2022

My voicemail's red dot used to let me know I had one or more voicemails waiting.

All of a sudden it stopped working. No indicator (red dot).

Still get voicemail though, just no indicator.

Yes, did all the possible resets, new voicemail pin. etc.etc.

No luck. Still no red dot after leaving/receiving voicemail.

Any solutions that work?  IPhone XR- with Public Mobile.

Regards and Thanks

Cell data is on. Not much use without it for me.

Like I said, many suggestions, no cure!

Thanks for your response!

So over these last couple months have you googled around for other ideas? I found some but I don't know if you tried those ideas as well.

One was interesting, turn on cell data. That would suck unless you're the type to just leave it on all the time.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I've given up on getting a red dot as a voicemail indicator.

I've tried everything under the sun (other than getting a new/different phone), but nothing works.

Everybody on this forum basically has the same "fixes", but none work for me.

Very nice forum, and great people on it, but like I said before....no fix for the "dreaded" red dot....lol

I'll live with it. Don't need to know every second of the day if there is a voicemail waiting. And if want, I'll just phone in to voicemail.

Just have to get used to doing that once, twice, or several times a day.

I'm old enough to know, there was no "voicemail" in "my days".

The world keeps on turning either way.

Just say high, and smile!

Did all the above. Even reset my IPhone XR completely!

Nothing works. I do believe it is a Public Mobile problem, not my phone.

Don't want to buy a new phone just for this problem.

Maybe these are the drawback for using a "cheaper" provider?

Still getting my voicemails, just have to phone in to see if there are any.

I've tried everything. I must admit......I have been defeated!!!!!

Great people on this site, but they also have their limits.

Thanks for all your attempts to help me!

Sorry, but tried all that already. Nothing on the web seems to work, so maybe it's an IPhone update that caused it.

Also, can't find a "voicemail" setting of any kind when opening the "Phone" icon inside "Settings".

But funny enough, voicemail does work. Just can't see if there is a voicemail waiting.

lol

HI @Bart104

try  to Reset the Voicemail first:

Call your voicemail form your phone, listen via all the new messages that are new on your device.

Then   Leave a voicemail message from another phone.  You should be able to get a voicemail notification then

If that still does not work,   Reset All network from Settings. General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

Once reset, reboot your iPhone
