Voicemail contact

I'm a new user and just set up my voicemail.  I tested it out using a number that is in my contacts, but when the reader reads out that I have a new message she reads out "New message from plus one six one three blah blah blah" -- I don't want to hear this every single time I have a voicemail.  Isn't there a way to link up my contacts with the voicemail reader, so that I hear, e.g. "New message from mom"?
