Voicemail access while using US Roaming

I am on US Roaming (unlimited call and text) and I am trying to access my voicemail.  When I try to access my Public Mobile voicemail, the message comes back that I cannot because I have used up all of my calling minutes.  Obviously, this is not the case as I have unlimited calling minutes.  Is there anything I can try to be able to access my voicemail?

The solution is a list of Canadian roaming numbers. They don't work in the US, so it's not a solution to US roaming.
My phone is Volte compatible. My solution ended up being using a VoIP calling app, as you mention, to call myself and access voicemail that way. I found that solution in a different thread.

The post I linked to provides a list of Public Mobile's voicemail access numbers, not roaming access numbers. I provided them as a potential workaround to call if you can still make outgoing calls by another means -- as you did via a VoIP calling app. They are not expected to work if you do not have a US roaming plan or add-on while in the US, or have a phone that is not VoLTE compatible on US networks. (Some phones work with VoLTE on Public Mobile's network, but not on AT&T/T-Mobile networks.) Calling your own number also works to reach Public Mobile's voicemail system as well, as you found. 👍

PS - its not obvious the thread was closed.

What issue do you actually have? You replied to a solved thread where the OP was able to dial their own number to access their voicemail. Alternatively, my "link" supplied additional alternative numbers that could be dialled if outgoing calls were still working. Older phones may not be compatible or enabled for VoLTE on US operator networks, in which case you'd have to use another phone or service to call the aforementioned numbers. One option if your own phone isn't getting VoLTE service in the US is the TextNow VoIP calling app I mentioned in the previous post as well, which would let you make calls over mobile data or WiFi.

Are you able to successfully make calls to other numbers? Or is is only when you dial voicemail you hear that message? If other calls work, you can try directly calling any one of the Public Mobile voicemail access number across Canada according to this list: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Get-Support/Updated-list-of-Voicemail-Access-Numbers/...

Otherwise if no voice calling is working, as a workaround you can try downloading the free TextNow app, and call those numbers that way (entering your 10 digit Public Mobile phone number as the mailbox number, and pressing * at the announcement)

I would have to say it's the same. Press 1 and hold on to it. Put in your code.

I would say dial...  1 587 580 4001. That actually be auto installed when you press and hold 1.

Try calling your phone number. No idea, try submitting a ticket to a Public Mobile CS agent. Click this link https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

AT-T or T-Mobile you should be your service provider while the US.
