Hello. My voice messages always has a clear notification on the app icon. Because of that I have missed several voice messages because I also did not get a notification that I received a voice message. I cleared my deleted messages, but I do not know what I can to to have the voice message icon only there when I actually have a voice message or to receive a notification like I do for a phone call when I receive a voice message.

I opened it and read all the voice mails and deleted them all then cleared the voice mail trash and the icon is still there even though I have no voice messages. I just want it cleared so I can actually know when I need to listen to my voice messages due to missing 2 from the icon always being there since I switched to Public Mobile.

@Natalieht Did you tap on the voicemail icon and read any Live Voicemail messages there?

@Natalieht Settings - Apps - Phone - Live Voicemail, or just type Live Voicemail into the settings search. I really like Live Voicemail because you can see who is leaving a message and then decide not to answer, or you can answer while they're leaving it. It saves having a lot of spam calls go to regular voicemail. You just have to remember to access Live Voicemail by tapping on the voicemail icon bottom right of the phone app. But if you prefer to just use PM voicemail then go to settings as explained above and toggle LV off.

If you have an Android phone like a Pixel, click Phone|Settings|Voicemail|Notifications to change your notifications.
I also noticed that if you dial "1" to access your voicemail, then press "4" for personal preferences, then press "3", you will get notification options. It then asks you to press a number between 1 and 5. However, I have no idea what this does and have been hesitant to change it for fear that it may screw up my voicemail which is working fine. Good luck.
