Us talk and text

Im using s21 fe ( not Volte) and have the basic talk/text plan. I've on the 3G account with PM.  I'm sitting in the US with no service.  Tried setting the network mode to WCDMA but no connection. Is there anything else I can do or am I out of luck?  And if thats the case I'm pissed with PM for not letting folks know that it wont work for certain accounts. Help if possible!!!

In US, right?

most people would have no problem texting but talk is the issue., but you have talk ok and no text?   Try reboot the phone and set the network mode to 4G.  Also, manually connect to a different networks, T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon

I purchased US talk and text - I can talk but not text.

Update....thanks to all for the help! Reset my connections mobile network and now have service!!!

now, question is do you see your phone connected to T-Mobile or AT&T? you might want to manually connect to both and try it out

is your roaming just talk and text? if you have data, do not use 5G, use only 4G or 2G , and turn on roaming mobile data on your phone

Thanks for the response. My basic plan is talk/text, data, long distance Canada, so not the really cheap plan.  I also did purchase roaming before I left which is why I'm a bit choked about this.

HI @singleserve 

S21FE is on PM's VoLTE whitelist.  So, you should be able to use the talk service when you are in US

just make sure you have got the US roaming Talk/Text addon, and you can try connect to T-Mobile or AT&T , they both should work.  But for network, don't select 3G, you either select 4G/LTE or 2G to get the voice calls working

you have a 3G account, so not those Canada-US plan? did you buy US roaming addon?

@singleserve , if you are on a basic talk and text plan, why would there be expectation of being able to roam in the US without a roaming add-on.  I am assuming you did not purchase one as it was not mentioned.
