Update on my cellphone issue-Its the charger port now!

My cellphone battery wasn't apparently the issue as I thought.

It's my CHARGER PORT! 

It doesn't hold a charge as well as it use to two years back.

I hontesly don't know what to do now. 

One last thing I must ask: Can all my text messages be transferred to a new cellphone just like my contacts?

I know places like bestbuy have hardware that can take history from your old phone to your new one. There is software that can also but that's just for smartphones iirc

Sorry to hear about your phone issues.  The charging port is replaceable and a local phone shop would be able to do this.  You will have to consider if its worth the cost to repair or you are better off getting another phone.

SMS won't automatically be restored to a new device.  There are sms backup apps that can save your messages to an sd card and then you can restore those message to your new phone using the same app.
