Update: Western Canada Voice problem

Surprised that after so many posts, PM has not made the formal announcement yet

According to Telus outage page, they have problem with Voice service in Alberta started at 5AM.  But the last update at 12:07PM just "Service technicians have been engaged, and investigation is ongoing."  So, basically no ETA

TELUS Service Status

Telus has changed it from Alberta only to Western Canada at 1:19PM

Many Reboots.  Still not working.  I can send and receive texts.  I can receive calls but not make calls.

I think something missed in the billing.  My auto renew was today.  My account shows data is okay but my call minutes is at minus two.  My international texts are at minus one.  Very odd.

Telus has removed the voice outage note on its site so it should be resolved.

do you have another phone to test the sim card as well?

if not, I think you should ask PM to check.  Please open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen

no I had rebooted earlier when I first noticed the outage and I just tried it about 20mins ago and it worked!

thanks @Gigi121 for confirming.  Did you have to reboot your phone to have it working again?

we don't know.  But someone just have the voice issue resolved.  Try reboot phone and hope same good news for you

I cannot receive any call in Edmonton.  Anyone know how long the outage is going to be?

I’m in Calgary. Cannot make outgoing calls,  incoming ok. Problem all morning.

yes, it is an overall Telus issue and affect all 3 Telus brands.

and it is true that not everyone in those provinces are affected, only some accounts

Just got an update via SMS from Telus "We apologize for the service interruption you are experiencing. We have determined the root cause of the issue to be a system issue."

I am not able to call out at all, my mom at one point left a voicemail....then tried calling me again and it went through, thought the service was fixed so I tried calling out again and I am still not able to.  My son called me on my cell and it worked for him as well.  

My mom and kid both have samsung phones and my husband and I have ASUS Zenfones, no idea if that matters or not, but I find it very odd.

Look like it affects BC as well.

So, it is a problem on the West overall
