@danlee to send annd receive mms you need data to be on. you do not need a data plan as mms do not consume data

My plan do not have data and i am able to send MMS, i do need to turn my mobile data on in order for it to send/receive.
So no MMS does not consume any of your data.

Yes I can confirm this as I have used almost my whole data allotment, so I have been keeping close tabs on it before my renewal, next week

You will need data turned on on your phone to make it work, but as the others are saying, yes, you can send MMS without using your data allotment.

It's a different protocol and MMS is usually delivered over a different APN specific to MMS messaging only. I've never seen MMS data touching your data package at any mobile carrier, and you usually don't even need a data plan to send and receive MMS.

@rybshik, MMS consumes wireless data only. However, it is never metered and will not count against the data allotment. As long as you select a plan with text, you will have unlimited MMS.
