Unable to redeem 15 Points for Bill credit

I just want to say that I'm very disappointed with the recent changes in the point system, and I'm seeing changes that in general point towards a more expensive customer experience.

However, as of today I actually feel disrespected by public mobile. I went to check the rewards catalog to redeem some of my points, and I realize that they have taken away the option to redeem a $15 bill credit using 15 points, instead having replaced it with only the $20 option for 20 points.

First of all, it already seemed unfair that we are unable to redeem our points in smaller increments, such as 5 and 10. Now, PM has cut down the amount of points we earn, and at the same time, increased the balance needed makes it so that most of us are unable to redeem our points for bill credits more than once or twice a year if we're lucky.

Public mobile, do better.

I agree that fizz is Relatively new outside of quebec but it's been around since 2018. And pc mobile been around for 20 years so I wouldn't call it a new provider. But like all companies they will fall to corporate greed at some point.

hi @Rastin

they are both new comers to the market.  Give them 3 years and you will see their rewards programs shrink.  Of course, you can say enjoy the rewards now.

There are others provider's that have rewards programs. Like pc mobile they give you pc points and fizz they give free data. So public not the only one that's has rewards but the only one that I know of that is cutting back on what you get.

No, you don’t lose money. But that longer span leaves you open to losing a referral and losing $1-$2 in that span. And the $1 loss is forever.

PM use to be customer oriented not so much now it's all about the money. They still have the best plans at cheaper prices

I believe that’s the course of Telus. Any thing that’s included is now a charge etc. along with continual price increases.   While customer service is extremely poor (as most Telcos are) …..the product is decent and now built much better, with less customer inquiries. Unfortunately that’s the way with a lot of things. But how long have you been paying $15 a month……5-6 years? And who else has a rewards program?

hi @dannycdee

yes, they changed to 20 for $20 just this week.

things keep changing and not something we can control.  You didn't lost any money, you just need to wait for 5 more rewards points to redeem
