US roaming issues

I purchased the US talk, text and data plan add on 4 days ago. I am able to text and use data, but cannot make or receive phone calls. I made sure I am on the correct carrier. No idea what the next step is.

Where in the US are you? You can only use your voice services in areas in the US that have T-Mobile's 2G network since the 3G network has been decommissioned this past year in the US. Only once pm implements VoLTE for pm customers will we be able to fully access our voice services while roaming in the US. In the meantime download textnow while on wifi and choose a Canadian phone #. You can use textnow to call for free across the US and Canada while on wifi or it will use about 0.5mb/min on mobile data. If you cannot use your voice services for most or all of your trip you can ask for a partial credit for your voice services back to your account balance.

First of all, make sure you've manually connected to the T-Mobile network from your device's list of available networks.

 

Then, if you can, select 3G (or 2G) from the list for calling purposes.

 

To see 2G network coverage for specific areas use the link below... (select USA, then T-Mobile as carrier)

@jdulmage  You should be able to , thou I’ve been hearing issues with 3G as the USA has mostly moved away from 3G and many have been having same issue  . Also are you on the T-Mobile carrier while away I think this is the best option
