I am looking into buying a new phone from Amazon.com, a US retailer. I saw that the phones there are listed as "US Version." Will a "US Version" phone work in Canada without incurring any extra charges? If not, how can I make a "US Version" phone work, in Canada, without getting any extra fees?

If you are planning to order the American iPhone 14. It comes only with eSIM and PM eSIM does work on eSIM.
The Canadian iPhone 14 comes with a SIM tray and eSIM.

depends on make & model the cellphone is.
ALSO...make absolutely certain the phone is sold to you as unlocked.

@iamimmaculate46 - never extra fees around here. Things will only work for what you paid for, being prepaid and all.
Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands:
Always good to check whether a phone will work with any provider, especially Public Mobile. Use more than one source to be sure.
