US Roaming Data with $10 PM plan

tod

Activated a new PM account on the $10 50min/50sms plan. This plan has no data included and without domestic data add-on. Would data work in the US with US Roaming data/bundle without adding domestic/canadian data add-on?

Tested it today and data works in the US with a data roaming add-on without domestic data.

Thanks for the update. Good to know.

@tod, that's a great question, and I do not know the answer directly.  Haven't had a need, and I have a domestic data plan included in my package.

The domestic add-on can be used on a plan without data "in the package".  US Roaming is to be used to allow you access to your 'Domestic' package while visiting the US.

I do not know if you need to already have domestic data, to use US roaming data.  Has anyone attempted this yet?

Terms & Conditions footnote #6. He has a talk plan.

If he had the $20 data only then no because there's no talk.

At least that's how I interpret it. And we both know that the wording can be problematic or inconsistent.

Yes, you can buy US Roaming data add on with the $10 plan.  You can also buy a Canada data plan add on, 1 GB for $30 also.

Welcome.

Yes.

Just talk is required for talk. You're fine.
