Purchased a 1g data add on for use in Alaska.
Roaming is enabled. Automatic connection turned on (also tried manual connection). Can see the GCI network under network connections but no bars of service.
Checked public mobiles coverage map and there should be coverage (Fairbanks, Anchorage, North Pole) but haven’t had any bars of device.
Confirmed the add on was purchased correctly and available.
For troubleshooting have tried turning airplane mode on and off, restarting the device, resetting network settings. Turning automatic network connection on and off and selecting GCI manually.
Any other options for troubleshooting?

THe Us roaming packages seems to increasingly be very hit and miss for reliability and connectivity mainly due to the 3G issues. Hopefully it latches on to that network or one of the 2 main networks pop up for you.

Looks like cell carriers in Alaska are Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon.
You need to manually connect to AT&T or T-Mobile in the Cellular Network setting for your Roaming to work in US.

Not worried about getting the charge reversed, PM has always been great!
Primarily don’t want to get stuck driving a rental without access to call for help etc.

I can see it in the overview!
“US Roaming - 1 GB Data (10-day)”

Can only see GCI as a manual option! No AT&T or T-mobile. Google tells me GCI is AT&T towers.
Tried a few different cities and places within the cities but waited until Fairbanks since it’s a major city compared to a few of the others.

@Cwesty I just checked, both AT&T and T-Mobile should have coveraged in Fairbanks and Anchorage
Just move around to different area of the city and see if you get the connection.
Worst case, you can ask PM to reverse the transaction

@Cwesty - did you purchase the ROAMING 1GB addon (not the regular one)?
Also, do you see the addon listed in your overview section of your self serve account, this would ensure it was added on successfully.
Purchasing an addon is TWO STEPS:
Be sure to:
1. Add funds to your account, if you don`t have sufficient funds
2. Go back to the Add-Ons page and select your Add-On.
Roaming tips and other information can be found here:

@Cwesty Do you see AT&T and T-Mobile as a choice on your network? These 2 are the only 2 networks PM service are running in US.
Try to make a manual network selection if you see any of the two. Try both and see which one works better
If you don't see any of these, try in another area if you can.
