US Coverage not working, disconnects 95% of the time

The data does not work at all which is incredibly frustrating. None of the instructions provided by the support bot worked including resetting my network settings, adding APN, turning my phone off, airplane mode etc. 

 

Can you please diagnose and help resolve the issue? I am disappointed that I'm paying so much for a data plan in the US that only works 5% of the time.

If automatic network selection doesn't work, try manually connecting to T-Mobile or AT&T. Please note AT&T 5G usually doesn't work, hence setting your Preferred Network to 4G/LTE.

Set the phone to 4G LTE. Connect to either T-Mobile or AT&T. Turn on roaming data. Turn on cell data.
Don't change the APN settings. Leave those as they were when working in Canada.

Adding - as an aside, real sms text should work fine, talk may have issues. But you asked about data.
