U.S. Roaming Data Add-On Rewards

Just a quick question. The U.S. Roaming Data add-on offers 3gb (over a 15-day period) for a total of 20 rewards points.

If you are still in Canada, and have run out of data on your plan, but use your points to purchase this reward, will you be able to use these 3gb of data? Or can you only use the data while you are actually roaming the United States?

Question is basically: Can I purchase this reward (3gb data for 20 points) and immediately have 3gb data again for 15 days, no matter where I am located in the U.S. or Canada?

I have a lot of points, but very little data left this month. It seems like a better deal than the Canada offerings. Just being honest. 🙂

That seems probably like the right approach, yes, as I'm coming up on only a 3 GB of data left, from the 35 GB I started with, although I already had a 1 GB add-on waiting to be used, but that I believe will carry over to the next month, if unused.

Also, it appears that the $65 plan is suddenly different after I purchased it last month. Then, it was $65 for 35gb of data + unlimited Canada/International talk. However, as I review the plans available today, I see that the same $65 only gets me 30 GB of data, the same unlimited Canada/International talk, but for whatever reason, also unlimited International Text and Picture messaging, voicemail and call display. Weird. I would prefer to keep the extra 5 GB of data, thanks.

How do I contact a PM support person right away when I need their assistance? Because, if this is my only option, I prefer to just renew my existing plan right now, and certainly not have less for the same money.

So, you just need more data at the moemnt?

one workaround is to make a early renewal or change plan to another one and have it start now.  It is likely more economical this way

To make an early renewal, you will need PM support to help to do

To change plan, as long as you change to another plan, you can do it yourself.  Just pick a plan and select Change Plan now.  PM will charge you the new plan amount now and start the new 30 days cycle on the new plan today  This is likely a better solution than buying addon as those are expensive

Sadly, I upgraded to the largest plan, and it was insufficient this month. I wouldn't have at all, except for the area that I am working in does not have an acceptable wifi solution.

The best deal for data in Canada is to change to a plan that includes just the right amount for your regular usage over 30 days.  Add-ons are expensive and are only for light usage.

Roaming add-on is only for roaming. The roaming data can't be used in Canada.
