Does anyone know if there are any BYOP plans with two lines and shared data? Or do I have to purchase two different BYOP plans?

No family plans, no shared data nor minutes.
Each PM account is independent and requires unique email address. You can start with $15 plan see how it goes and decide later if it works for you and your family. Very easy to upgrade your plan and there is no overcharges if you use all your data or minutes ($15 plan, others are unlimited calls in/out).

You'll never see that from public mobile sadly, they like to offer the bare minimum with the occasional uninspired promotion that is usually a repeat of the last one, would be nice if they did things like this, but telus has no interest in drawing customers to where it's cheaper, they want to push people up the "value chain" to telus themselves in the end.

There are no family or share plans at public mobile. Each account needs its own sim card, email and/or phone or dual SIM phone. Although one user can hotspot data of of another user's phone and data plan.
Currently the promocode 2GBBONUS can be entered at activation (online activations only) for $35+ plans to recieve 2gb of bonus recurring monthly plan data. Use a referral code for the $10 bonus referral credit. The first activated account can then use its referral code for the second account for its $10 bonus credit and recieve 1 point (=$1) every month for as long as the second account is active.
Point rewards can be redeemed towards discounted add ons (minimum 5 pts), the lucky draw (1 pt), or bill credits (minimum 15 pts) and can also be earned in addition to referral points (maximum 110 pts/month) via payments and purchases (5% back in points), anniversary points (10 pts/year) and community points (maximum 15 pts/month).

What you can do is use the other persons referral code on the second activation to get some credit toward your services.
You can also use the same payment or credit card on each account. That's the only things that can be similar or 'connected'.
Shared data is a good thought, though. 👍

Yes, we both have a device. Just wondering if Public Mobile had something equivalent to this one offered by Zoomer Wireless, but with half the data.

Each plan/account is completely individual.
You would need to have two devices to have two different plans.
