I am on a 30 day $15 per month plan. Why every time a SMS verification code from a Hong Kong bank auto generated computer ...the SMS code does not work but when it is manually sent from a real person at the bank in Hong Kong .....the SMS code comes through.....the bank confirmed with me the phone number they are using for either computer generated or a real person generated is from the same phone number. Does anyone know why this is happening to me? Pls help, I need this resolve ASAP. I need this SMS code from an auto generated computer to work because I need to activate my mobile banking app to use the services.

I know many app either not support at all or they support very few and more like hit or miss.
I think Google Voice supports some but they only offer in US. 😞
You will have to experiment. Have a look at Fongo & TextNow.

No idea - I don't need one and therefore have never researched it.
There seems to be so much out there with respect to online texting and/or calling services that I hope the OP can find a suitable replacement.
Surely (hopefully) the Hong Kong business can work with its customer to sort out another way of providing the service.

Unless the bank is willing to have the 'real person' send the text manually, you may have to utilize a compatible texting app which supports the verification you're seeking and inform the bank of the updated text number to provide such future verification.
Good luck!

Public mobile does not support international short code messages unfortunately. Other customers in the past have been unable to receive automatically generated codes from companies internationally (ie. foreign banks).
Public mobile supports the following:
