Trouble porting number (pixel 5)

Hi,

I switched to public mobile 2 days ago from chatr and it said I would get a confirmation from the old carrier confirming the port. I never got it but my number was able to make calls, however I was unable to receive or send texts (even though my sent texts showed no sign of not going through) and my carrier showed as public mobile. I can't get into the app because it asks me for a code to my SMS and I also deleted my esim thinking I could easily reinstall it, however I can't seem to do that either without being able to receive an SMS to get into my account.

Yes it was, PM app notified me that I would receive a confirmation text from them to swap the number over. I never received it even though I had my chatr SIM installed in the phone at the time

you were supposed to leave old sim in the phone until you rec'd the port confirmation text from your old network, to which you were to reply YES within 90 mins. Then when old sim quit working, you install new Public Mobile sim.

hi @Tml333 

did you delete your PM esim?  trouble with eSIM is that you cannot reinstall the same esim

you need to ask PM support agent to help
