Travel to US

I have a $25 3G plan. Do I need to get a new plan for travel in the US where 3G is not available??? I have a Pixel 3xl phone. Do I need a new SIM card? How does the switch over from 3G to 4G happen???

The only thing you need from here is any one of the roaming add-ons. The 3G thing has to do with talk in the US. Manually connecting to T-Mobile when there will give you the only chance for talk on their old 2G GSM network.

Text and data should work fine. Coverage may be less than ideal on 2G. Your phone will drop down to 2G when calling.

@Lorraine57 no, you don't need new plan nor new sim, but you  need to buy a US roaming addon that suits your need.  

or you can just get local data prepaid sim
