Transferring number

Hi, I'm trying to transfer my old number and was told to wait for a 6 diget number to be texted to me. I waited, hit the  resend button and still nothing was sent. What do I do now?

I just needed to inserted the new SIM card and now it's working now!  Thanks for your advice though!

Yummy, I hadn't inserted the new SIM card yet. I thought I had to get the confirmation from Public mobile before doing so. haha! It's working now!  Thanks for the ideas!

I'm transferring my old number from Koodo to public mobile. I still have my old sim card in the phone, I responded to koodo's SMS message confirming I want to transfer my # to public mobile. Next, I was waiting for Public mobile to send the 6 digit code via SMS to do the final confirmation, but my phone hasn't received it yet. I tried a few time for them to resend

If you are not receiving SMS form PM then change it to receive code by e-mail.

@Lynn37  Can you clarify which way you are transferring, is this from another provider into Public Mobile or from Public Mobile to another provider?  Either way you need to leave the old carrier's sim in the phone to respond to their SMS authorizing transfer of the number.  You have to do that within 90 minutes.  Did you get that far?
