It's been more than 5 hours and it seems that my number hasn't transferred yet. I am still not getting any bars / service.

Where did you transfer from, did you get a text from your old provider and did you click yes, did you try restarting your phone

if your have no bars or service, it was is not a problem with the actual porting, but a problem with the sim or account setup.  Instead of trying to call porting support team, you need to check with the general support team to confirm the account setup.  Please message them here:
