I attempted to register for Public Mobile and initiate a phone number transfer. However, I made an error while entering my phone number by mistyping one digit. Now, when I try to access my account, it says that it will send a code to my EverSafe ID, which is the incorrect phone number I mistakenly provided and I dont get the code. I've already been billed for the plan, and I can't reach anyone via chat support. What should I do?

I called them and got the number transferred on my account, but my phone still has the wrong number in it and it won’t let me change it. SMS works, calls work, data works, but iMessage does not work. Is there a way to get a new QR code for an eSIM?

To successfully port over to PM with the wrong number. The person with that number must reply with YES confirming they are porting over to PM. It would be a slim chance that they would reply as they may think it would be a spam.
I would suggest you contact a CS_Agent whether porting the wrong number was successfully and help port the correct number.
