I just received my 3rd free sim from virgin in less than a year!. when I decide to leave public I'm going back to virgin. 3 sims, that's dedication!!!

@adyamhabte

You need to get the freedom porting department to contact pm to reintiate the port and pm will send you out the text. However if you feel that despite being able to call freedom for help if their customer service isn't up to the challenge you may want to stay with pm.

Please contact Public Mobile moderators to advise,  do so HERE

@adyamhabte tell your new provider to try again.  Keep your PM sim card in your device so you can say "yes" to validate your request to transfer your number.

Sorry to see you go but we wish you well

 @adyamhabte : Again, was the PM account active when you ported? And did you leave the PM SIM in to wait for the confirmation text?

The new carrier is responsible for providing all customer service related to transferring your number over, in this case Freedom Mobile.  Have you contacted Freedom?

Please keep your public mobile SIM card in your phone.   Read following article:

https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/port-fraud-protection

Relevant part is below:

To help protect our customers from fraud, Public Mobile will send you an SMS text message should we receive a request to transfer your mobile phone number to another carrier. This step is designed to protect your account by confirming if the request is genuine or fraudulent.  The SMS text will read as follows: Public Mobile message: We’ve received a request to transfer this phone number to another service provider. To approve this request, please reply “Yes”. If you did not request this transfer, please reply “No”. Please note that you must respond within 90 minutes. If we don’t receive a response within this time, the request will be automatically cancelled. For any issues with this number transfer, contact our Porting Team. Thank you.

If you have made a request to port your number to another carrier and have not received an SMS from Public Mobile to confirm your request, please open our chatbot via this link. This will put you in touch with our moderator team who will be able to assist you.
