I was told there could be issues transferring my number from a telus pre paid plan to PM. Is there anywhere there is a tutorial instruction for transferring and does Telus close out my pre paid account or do I need to contact them?

I just did this on 2 telus phones yesterday. It was very simple. Just follow the steps when activating your phone. There is a option to keep your same number. The release of your number from Telus to PM is allmost instant and it is automated. The Telus rep I called allso told me this is how it is done. Very easy and simple. Good luck.

There are issues with Koodo prepaid porting over to Public Mobile. Telus prepaid should be fine.

Most ports require the original carrier account number, account holder name and phone number.
Generally, you will not need to contact Telus. Once ported, your Telus account will automatically close.
