I'm a Telus customer. I want to switch to Public Mobile while keeping my phone number. How should I do it?

@Vladiator

Simple if you follow all the steps in order.

1 - Purchase a PM SIM. Canadian Cell Supplies have them on sale for $4.99 with fast shipping than buying from PM.

2 - Leave the Telus SIM in your phone.

3 - Active the PM SIM online. Use a referral code for a $10 credit on your 2nd bill on page 4. If you don't have one, PM members here will have one for you if you just ask!😉

4 - Reply with YES to the text from Telus confirming you are porting over to PM.

5 - Power off the phone and swap the Telus SIM with the PM SIM.

6 - Power on your phone.

Everything should work.

Welcome to PM.

Or.

1. Make sure you have a few days left with Telus

2. Buy PM SIM or take a free offer or 99 cent offer

3. Get a referral code

4. Activate plan and choose a number.

5. If all works ok....sign on My Account and do a port from Telus. May take 5 minutes or so.

6. Put Telus sim back in phone before you do #5.

Make sure you know your Telus: number, address and name exactly associated, PIN number, and account number.

Buy sim, activate it, transfer number during activation, choose a plan, pay for it, leave old sim in, confirm text, insert new sim, restart, wait for transfer to complete.
