The amount that I paid to top up my account is different from the amount that was taking from Visa. Last time I paid 40 CAD to top up my account .
Could you please expaine why 45.99 CAD was taking from my visa?

@eduard13 as others have mentioned, this is 100% normal and expected behaviour. If you plan is $40 per 30 days, then your top up will be $40 + tax. This is how the system works.

Fair enough. It could be policy to pull up the account first, too. May just be following procedures.

@mtfolks I guess... but the tax idea was brought up an hour before the mod_team replied.
they could have confirmed the tax idea and said if the pre and post tax numbers don't jive message us.

Mod probably wants to be able to actually pull up the account and visually confirm the billing before giving an answer. I’d have done the same in my telecom customer service days. Even if the simple answer is likely the correct one.

@CS_Agent is this really a question that needs a user to send a private message for you to say prices in selfserve are pre tax and charges on visa are shown with taxes?

Exactly this is the case. The prices (like quite everything in Canada) are pre-tax amounts. Taxes are being added at the end. The charge on your credit card is right.

@eduard13, Hello! Sorry for the inconvenience but for more details about that charge, can you please send us a private message with your account information? Thank you!
