My son has an Android phone, and I have an iPhone. He is not receiving the text messages that I sent to him. How can this issue be resolved?

@VH4 Is there any possibility your son has accidentally blocked your number? When you send to him have you tried long pressing on the message and choosing send as SMS?

Thanks for your reply. My son , with his Android phone, is the only one who isn’t receiving my texts. I have an iPhone 16e.

@VH4 Is it just your son that doesn't get the text messages? Make sure that in the Messages settings you have your telephone number checked under Send & Receive.

A little late to the party but thought I'd share...
Have you tried going into your Settings, Messages… and do either of the following; if IMessages is toggled to on, go further down to SMS and ensure it is also toggled to On… this will help ensure that if a message can’t be delivered by IMessage it should be delivered by SMS. Another option to test is to Toggle IMessage to off, and ensure both SMS and MMS are toggled to on. This would force all messages to be sent by SMS/MMS…however keep in mind there are size limitations to your messages sent this way!

You were not sending via SMS, you were sending iMessage
You might not need PM to help. just make sure your Send As Text is enabled on Settings

Reboot both of your phones and see if that helps.
If not, contact a CS_Agent by clicking on the Chatbot and type in Submit a Ticket for an agent to investigate the issue.
