Hello,
Next year, I will be travelling abroad for several months and would like to keep my Public Mobile number, but suspend my subscription. Ie. temporary hold on my account until I return to Canada.
Is this possible?

The date of the actual payment isn't what determines the last date that the account will stay open. it's the amount of days that the account in suspension that counts. This is important as when someone allows an account be suspended, the previous payment could have been made at theoretically any time in the past, meaning that it is actually possible to go longer than 90 days without making a payment.

This is what you need to do to keep alive the account:
PM only allows the account to be suspended for 90 days or your account will be permanently closed, and you will loss the number.
So, your option is temporarily suspending the account and reactivate for 30 days before the 90 days deadline.
Here is what you can do:

Yes you can pause your account for a maximum of 90 days. After that your account will be closed, SIM will be useless and you lost your number.
You can login to your account on the PM app or website and go to Subscription tab>Manage Subscribe>Unsubscribe.
I would highly recommend that you Subscribe after 88 days just encase there are issues subscribing again and you need help from an Agent.
The other option is to subscribe the lowest prices plan in your account so your will pay the lowest fees without any worries of losing your number and account. So go to Subscription tab>Manage Subscription>Change Subscription and pick the lowest plan. If you are on the $15 plan, just leave it because PM doesn’t offer this plan anymore and you won’t be able to switch back.
