TFA code text from international sources

_LL_

I switched to PM a few weeks ago. Today, I tried to log in to a website that needs to send an authorization code via text. I tried resending the code a couple times and never received the text. The website is hosted outside of Canada, so it would be sending from a foreign number. Should PM be able to receive these types of text messages?

I can always log in to that website using a different method, just wondering if this should work in general.

Thanks!

You might also ensure your texts only use standard plaintext SMS protocols. You can configure it (somewhere) in the general or app settings.

Extended messaging features (from apps like iMessage, RCS, Signal, etc) are not well-supported by government offices, banks, corporations, etc. These institutions tend to like solid, proven, boring, reliable SMS protocol.

@_LL_ please note that international shortcode text are not guaranteed., it is a hit or miss. Regular international text are ok but not shortcodes.  It might work on some providers sometime and experience show it will broke sometime

only Canadian shortcode text found here are guaranteed

Add:

Also, if your just ported in your number, regular Canadian shortcode text might delay 3 to 7days.   Some banks  put the delay on purpose in case of sim fraud
