I want to switch my plan to the $39/month 20 G data. If I switch now (not on renewal date) will my rewards still be applied each month? I save $6/month now from the friend referrals. I don't want to lose that.

That's one of the few scenarios that actually makes sense to renew immediately. Enjoy your new plan!

You might actually even be surprised at a deposit shortly after switching. Or not.

Great thanks for your quick responses! Appreciate it very much. I will switch my plan now. ☺️

@WJR Then go for it . Just know you will pay the full plan amount right away . And your $ 6 in rewards will apply on the following renewal

Ok. I ran out of data during my camping trip this past weekend & I still have until Aug 9 on my current cycle. Figured I would just switch now so I could have some data again.

@WJR Means if you change plan immediately you will start a new 30 days right away . And loose out on your current cycle . So that’s why it’s advised to just change plan on renewal date so you don’t lose any money on service

Thanks! What does this disclaimer mean then when I go to switch? "The change will take effect immediately. Please note that we cannot offer a refund or credit for any unused portion of the subscription, and your current promotions will no longer be valid."

You can freely change plan and it wont' affect your current rewards, ie., you will earn the same reward amount per cycle. It is also confirmed by Community Manager here:

Will I be moved to the new rewards program if I change my plan?
Changing your plan won’t automatically transfer you to our new Public Points rewards program. If you’re currently on our legacy rewards program, you will continue to stay on it. However, we encourage you to explore Public Points, as it opens up even more opportunities for savings.
