Switching Sim card to new phone

I tried just putting the simple card in the new phone and it doesn't work any suggestions?

No it's an old Motorola it's not locked or anything

Do you know if your phone is locked by another carrier that is not Telus, Koodo or PM?

What is the make and model of your phone?

A CS_Agent will able to retrieve the PUK for you. Submit a ticket on SIMon Chatbot on the bottom of page or private message on the envelope icon above.

On iPhone, you can disable the SIM PIN.

Idk as I don't have a sim lock

If it is SIM locked then you need to contact a CS_Agent to get the PUK if you don’t remember the personal unlocking key that you set on your phone.

  1. are YOU new here...
  2. if so, did you go through the activation portal
  3. is service active
  4. did you change the SIM card in the self-serve portal
  5. did you ensure the 'new' phone works and isn't blacklisted
  6. try another SIM in the 'new' phone to see if it works
  7. check account status, is it active
  8. did you label the account Lost\Stolen and perhaps you have to remove that designation
  9. try rebooting device, resetting network connections, toggling airplane on/off
  10. try the new SIM in another device to see if it works

Try rebooting your phone by powering the phone off then back on if you didn’t do that when you put the SIM in the new phone.

Are you a new customer or a exist customer? Is you PM account activated? Try reboot the phone.
