Stuck in weird limbo after transfer, cannot receive SMS

gotta say, i miss having an option to talk to someone (never needed to before public mobile :/)

but i am finding it super frustrating to go back and forth with the 'ai' chatbot.  full of 404s and error pages.

anyway.... transferred number half way it seems.  can get calls but no texts.

how can i get this fixed?

Yeah, calls come in but not texts...

SMS is definitely enabled.  Number shows up as active in my account... and my account from Fido was closed... they cant help. 

Thank you for the contact information for the CS_Agent, i will try there .. or just try and get a new number.

I’m in a similar situation i think tried everything i can think of to get this working.

Applied and paid for an esim (i’m from the UK) - my esim data and calls work, imessage is not working and will not activate with my esim number, it will however activate and work with my previous number on my other sim.

This means I cannot complete registration because I cannot receive the sms from public mobile on my phone.

What has gone wrong here?

I have reset my imessage and network settings, tried removing the other sim, turning the other sim off. None of which have worked.

@Silicon 

- You need to activate your SIM on the PM app.

- Your old account must be active so don’t cancel service from old carrier.

- Leave your old SIM in your phone and reply to text with YES from your old carrier confirming you are porting over to PM…you have 90 minute to reply or porting will be cancelled.

Did you follow all these steps?

If not, you need to contact a CS_Agent to restart the porting process for you. 
Your old SIM should still work if porting wasn’t completed.

@Silicon   Usually with an incomplete port you can phone out but not receive calls.  So you're getting incoming calls but not texts?  Do you have SMS enabled in the settings?  You can contact customer service to investigate, but not via the chatbot which as you've discovered doesn't work well.  Send a private message using this link and an agent will reply aat the envelope icon top right or tap your avatar for Messages

@Silicon , it looks like you might have a stucked number transfer.  Please call the porting team on the number in the link below.  They should be able to assist.
